Sharp’s 2013 TVs

Sharp’s new 8 series TV not only has Sharp’s most advanced imaging technology and a new Quattron panel but also features the new Smart TV platform. Sharp’s 8 series is available in up to 80 inches.

The new Smart TV platform offers access to internet services, including Netflix, Vudu, Pandora, and many others. There is a built-in web browser and you can download new apps through the app store. Most of the new Smart TVs are run by a new, faster dual-core processor. The smart features and the TVs can also be controlled from your iOS or Android smartphone.

Additionally, Sharp will introduce cheaper 7 and 6 series as well as their first Ultra HD TVs; including one with THX certification. The Ultra HD TVs are expected to hit the market this summer.

Europeans will be able to enjoy a USB recording function. By connecting an USB hard drive to one of the USB ports you can unlock recording capabilities. It is also possible to pause live TV broadcasts and rewind to the point when you switched to the channel.

Sharp has also made efforts to improve sound quality and in the high-end models, Sharp has integrated relatively powerful speakers and a small subwoofer.

The cheapest TVs are available in stores now and most other TVs will become available in May.
