Looking for a new tv for watching sports/gaming

Hello Forum!
Im on the lookout for a new 46 - 55 inch tv. Im mostly gonna use it to watch sports(Ice hockey/ Football) on both hd and non hd channels and I was wondering if anyone of you have any recommendations? I currently have a 46inch samsung 6series LED but I am looking to get the best possible experience when watching
It will be used for a little bit of gaming as well.
I am willing to spend up to 3000euros. Thanks a lot in advance for any replies.
