Last week Samsung in Monaco for Europe.

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... rev=search

More pictures can be found here and click to make them big : http://avmania.e15.cz/samsung-predvedl- ... o-rok-2015

J5500 = 50/60 Hz panel.
J6200 = 100/120 Hz panel. (same 50/60 Hz + some software tricks probably)
J6300 = 100/120 Hz curved panel.

No 200/240 Hz full HD this year from Samsung like the great H7000/7150 of last year.

But maybe other companies will have.

Does anyone know what SoC these TVs use ?

Thanks for sharing! We are still trying to get more details from Samsung for our overview article :)

You are welcome !

The pictures are high quality so you can use them in your overview. You can find more for the 4K models in that article.

The White Full HD models are more beautiful to me than black counterparts. Probably all three : J6300/J6200/J5500 will come in both white and black variations.

Try to also ask them the following :

a) If the TV can play a full blu ray bit rate movie (with and without 3D) that is on a 64 GB USB stick on its own without the need of a ble-ray disk player.

b) What SoC the TVs uses (very important - last year 7 series used Samsung own Exynos chip, while 6 series used MediaTek - this meant that up-scaling on 7 series was superb in test results while the 6 series was just medium good ). Do they now all use up-scaling like 7 series ?

c) Are these new TVs PWM free like their monitor line ?

d) What speakers each TV uses.

e) Differences from 5 - 6 - 7 series of last year. (like do they use new panels or same panels from 2014, are these panels made by Samsung ? AOU ? etc. are they all VA panels ?). Also what is the depth of these TVs (higher models usually are more thin, while lower end are thick plastic)

Thank you.

Sony just told us that the Full HD TVs with Android TV do not support HEVC or VP9. This is unfortunate, but I'm still not 100% convinced. Still digging a little.

Philips' Full HD TVs with Android TV support HEVC (but not VP9)

Full HD models of 2015 that are worth reviewing.

LG LF6500
LF6500 is LG’s most expensive Full HD TV for 2015 and the only Full HD TV with 3D. As you can see, LG is focusing on Ultra HD this year.

Full HD
webOS
HEVC
Passive 3D
Wireless sound sync

Europe: 32" 32LF650V, 42" 42LF650V, 50" 50LF650V & 55" 55LF650V

LG LF6300

LF6300 is the last TV to offer LG’s webOS platform. It will be available in sizes ranging from 32 to 55 inches.

Full HD

Wireless sound sync

US: 40" 40LF6300, 43" 43LF6300, 49" 49LF6300 & 55" 55LF6300 & 65” 65LF6300

Philips 6500
With 6500 we are stepping into Full HD territory. It appears to have a higher number than the 6400 UHD because 6500 offers Ambilight. It also has Android TV.

Perfect Pixel HD engine
800 Hz PMR (500 on 32”)
Micro Dimming
Ambilight (2-sided)
Android TV
Google Cast
Dual core processor

Remote with keyboard

Europe: 32” 32PFT6500, 40” 40PFT6500, 50” 50PFT6500, 55” 55PFT6500 and 65” 65PFT6500.

Philips 5500
The 5500 is the most affordable TV with Android TV from Philips, and possibly the most affordable Android TV from any manufacture in 2015 r. It is a Full HD model with less advanced picture systems.

Full HD
Pixel Plus HD engine
200 Hz PMR
Micro Dimming
Android TV
Google Cast
Dual core processor
HEVC

Europe: 32” 32PFT5500, 40” 40PFT5500, 48” 48PFT5500 and 55” 55PFT5500

No Panasonic full hd models so far that are worthy.

Sony W8C Full HD with Android TV with 3D
(43”) (50")

Motionflow XR 800/900/1000Hz depending on version.
Stand design : Silver Mirror/Dark Chrome Mirror depending on version.

Sony W75C Full HD with Android TV no 3D
W755C / W756C Series

Motionflow XR 800Hz on all.
Stand design : Silver Mirror/Dark Chrome Mirror depending on version.

(43”) (50")

If 55" exists then test that also on Sony.

Sony screen 50" are actually 49.488"

Samsung like Panasonic also doesn't seem to have great Full HD models and no HEVC.

And the stand on J series is huge and can't fit on many furniture surfaces.

From where does Philips (TP vision / TPV Technology) take their panels ?

Since they are a Chinese company they probably don't use AOU like Sony ?

Having also the brand AOC where they used AOU panels i wonder...
