Sony believes that a lot of gamers are missing out on the world of 3D gaming and therefore Sony plans to introduce a 24-inch gaming monitor designed specifically for 3D gaming.

24-inch monitor comes with one pair of 3D glasses and HDMI 1.4, which enables you to connect your PlayStation 3 gaming consoles without hassle. It supports all the most popular 3D formats, which also means that you can connect your Xbox 360 or 3D enabled PC.

Another cool feature is the multi-player function. By utilizing 3D technology and 3D glasses Sony enables two gamers to experience two completely different pictures on the same TV for an immersive multi-player experience. It naturally requires gamers to wear 3D glasses but adds a whole new dimension to same-room multi-player gaming.

CECH-ZED1 builds on a Full HD LCD panel. The panel technology is VA, high contrast ratio. The VA panel technology is also used in Sony's larger Bravia TVs and most Samsung TVs. The monitor utilizes active 3D technology to enable 3D gaming in Full HD resolution. Active 3D also requires active 3D shutter glasses that can be bought separately for 70 USD.
