Boxee - the company responsible for the Boxee media center software - has just issued version 1.5 for PC/Mac/Ubuntu. This is the last version for desktops the company says, as the platform’s future will be on the Boxee Box.

Boxee says that they want to focus on developing for the Boxee Box in the future, as well as streaming devices that run Boxee OS.
Boxee has been a popular media center solution for home computer and mini computers connected to a TV but in the future users will have to look elsewhere or look for one of the external devices running Boxee software.
Boxee recently introduced a TV tuner solution and a slingplayer App.
