Samsung ES8000 Smart TVs now shipping

Samsung unveiled their new flagship ES8000 LED model at CES 2012. Samsung’s ES8000 Smart TV is now starting to become available in the US and Europe, and is shipping out to customers.

The ES8000 model is the latest Smart TV from Samsung and will feature the all-new Smart TV platform and Smart Interaction suite that lets users control the TV with voice commands, face recognition and gestures. The TV is based on Edge LED and comes with a new micro dimming system for improved black levels, Samsung says. It also comes with 3D (four pairs of 3D glasses confirmed for the US, but it varies in European countries), built-in WiFi and a very thin frame.
