The new Xbox, which Microsoft says is the “world’s most powerful console”, is now available to pre-order worldwide, with deliveries starting on November 7. Microsoft says that 130 games have been enhanced for Xbox One X.
Pre-order Xbox One X
Last year, Sony launched the PlayStation 4 Pro as a far more powerful version of PlayStation 4. Microsoft follows in its footsteps with the Xbox One X, which is said to be 40% more powerful than PS4 Pro. This will enable games in up to 4K resolution and HDR (High Dynamic Range).

The company is now accepting pre-orders worldwide. Xbox One X comes with a 1 TB hard drive and will set you back $499 / Ł449 / €499, which is $100 more than PS4 Pro.
To enjoy all of this you need a 4K HDR capable TV, preferably one with proper HDR picture quality.
Microsoft said that “you’ll be able to enjoy more than 130 (and counting!) new and existing games enhanced for Xbox One X to take advantage of its full power”. This can include games in 4K and/or HDR but can also include games running at a lower resolution that is upscaled.
In August, the list covered about 100 titles. We have included an updated list below. However, the list is still at least 10 titles short of Microsoft’s number, which could suggest that the company has more to announce closer to launch.

Besides a powerful graphics chip, Xbox One X offers apps for streaming video in up to 4K HDR quality as well as video and game sound in Dolby Atmos. It has a UHD Blu-ray drive, too. Microsoft has promised to later update the HDMI port to version 2.1 to enable adaptive refresh rate (AMD FreeSync).
The game console is available in black only and can be pre-ordered from your local retailer or from the Microsoft Store or microsoft.com.
