Samsung once again revolutionizes the world of thin TVs. At IFA they presented an impressive LED-TV measuring only 6 mm. At the moment it’s a prototype but it could very well be the next generation of LED-TV from Samsung.

Samsung is continuing to develop on its LED-TV and now they are becoming even thinner. The current B7000 series is 29 mm thin but the prototype exhibited on IFA 2009 is a 6 mm slim LED-TV prototype; and in different sizes, too.

The TV's has neither full specifications nor model names. The LED-TVs are based on the same Edge LED technology as the current B7000 and B8000 series which allows the panels to be incredibly thin and very power efficient.

TV's were presented in two sizes and in both white and black. The design is minimalist and elegant.

Samsung did not announce any new TVs at this year's IFA 2009 fair and there are no indications that new models will launch just now. Samsung will be exhibiting and revealing new models at CES 2010 in Las Vegas January 2010 instead.

The two 6 mm-thin LED-TV looks like the next generation of Samsung’s LED-TV, but so far there are no concrete plans to bring them to the market..
