BenQ has announced today that they will launch 9 new V series models from 18.5-inches to 24-inches, bringing the company’s total LED lineup to 23 models. The V920 model is just 14 mm thick.

New BenQ V series

BenQs new V series is a range of new monitors with LED backlight. Some of the models are slimmer than ever and the 18.5-inch V920 is the world’s slimmest at 14 mm. The bigger 22-inch V2220 has a frame with a depth of 15mm.

These models will be available:
  • 18.5”W - V920 / V920P
  • 21.5”W - V2220 / V2220P / V2220H / V2220HP
  • 23.0”W - V2320
  • 24.0”W - V2420 / V2420H

The 23-inch and 24-inch models are not as slim as the smaller brothers. Other features include a Senseye technology providing different picture modes and an automatic light sensor that adjusts the LED backlight on the screen according to the surroundings. The V series also features HDMI 1.3 inputs in the H variants.

BenQ mentions a 10.000.000:1 dynamic contrast ratio although the models might not provide us with more than 900-1000:1 in reality. Brightness is 250 cd/m2 and the resolution is Full HD 1920x1080 (1366x768 on the V920). Response time is 5 ms (g2g). All models has a TN panel.

Futhermore the LED backlight will reduce power consumption considerably.

The 18.5”, 21.5”, and 24” models will debut February and March in Taiwan, followed by the 23” in June. All models will then be available worldwide.
