Eizo has announced a new 22-inch CG223W with a 10 bit VA panel. The new monitor is a part of the ColorEdge graphic series for graphic designers.

Eizo’s new 22-inch ColorEdge monitor is called CG223W and utilizes a 10 bit VA panel with a 12 bit 3D LUT (look-up table).

The new 3D LUT from Eizo adjusts colour from a single colour table whereas a traditional LUT (1D) adjusts color on separate tables red, green, and blue. The monitor also has 16-bit internal processing of colour giving Eizo an internal colour palette of 68 billion colours. This improves colour accuracy.
Eizo CG223W also features a true 10 bit VA panel instead of a conventional 8 bit panel, as well as a panel supporting 95 % of the AdobeRGB gamut.
The screen has a resolution of 1680x1050, 6 ms (g2g) response time, 270 cd/m2 brightness, 950:1 contrast ratio and 178/178 viewing angles.

The frame is black and comes with a n optional hood that prevents light on the LCD panel surface. The stand supports height, pivot, tilt and swivel adjustment. You connect it through one of the 2 DVI inputs or the DisplayPort input that supports 10 bit.
Eizo CG223W will be available from the end of March.The suggested retail price for the will be about 750 Euro.
