Asus today announced two LED based LCD monitors with IPS and VA panels in the super-slim Designo ML series. With the new 23" ML239H and 24" ML249H promises better picture quality than previous Designo monitors with TN panels.
Asus Designo monitors
Asus launched their Designo range of design monitors in 2009 and the two new 23" ML239H and 24" ML249H monitors are the first to incorporate IPS and VA panels. All previous models came with the cheaper TN panels.
Asus ML239H
Both monitors come with a slim black design and a tilt/swivel stand. A LED backlight lowers power consumption and connectivity includes HDMI and D-SUB (VGA).

The 24-inch ML249H has a VA panel with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 8 ms (g2g) response time. The 23-inch ML239H has an IPS panel with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 5 ms (g2g) response time. Both come with 1920x1080 resolution, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 72 % color gamut.
Expect both monitors in stores soon. ML249H costs 299 Euro and ML239H costs 269 Euro.
