15 Jul 2011 | Rasmus Larsen |

Sharp’s 2011 TV line-up has finally started appearing in stores. In this article we give you the full Sharp 2011 TV line-up overview. Sharp is planning new models up to 70 inches with new LE830, LE730 and LE630 ranges. Sharp has also planned an exclusive high-end X5 model.

Please note: These are the EU models. Most TV ranges end with "0" but in some countries "1" variants are released. These are not different. The US models are largely similar but come without the USB Time Shift recording (only in EU) function. LE830 with 3D in Europe is called LE835 in the US. For more information about the US variants see our Sharp coverage page

Sharp’s 2011 TVs in outline

Sharp exhibited a few TVs at CES 2011 in Las Vegas back in January, but Sharp seems to be preparing the real jungle drums for IFA 2011 in Berlin this September. In this article we give you a complete overview of Sharp’s 2011 TVs that includes TVs such as LE630, LE730, LE830 and the exclusive X5.

Sharp plans to release a completely new line-up with TVs ranging from cheap, low-end models to extremely high-end models. Sharp introduced their Quattron panels with an extra green sub pixel in 2010 and in 2011 Sharp extends Quattron panels to cheaper TV ranges. Sharp has also incorporated Edge LED in most of their TVs in 2011 in order to 1) get slimmer TVs 2) lower power consumption.

We can also mention USB Time Shift recording (only in EU) that allows users to put live TV on pause, DLNA streaming with video/music/image support, Wi-Fi and DVB-T2 tuners in relevant countries.
