LG LM9600, LM8600 and PM9700
LG’s 2012 high-end TVs seem to have leaked ahead of the CES 2012 exhibition in January. And LG certainly seems to have created a range of beautiful new TVs.
LG Nano LM9600
The flagship model will be called LM9600 and features Cinema 3D (passive 3D), Smart TV (NetFlix, Hulu Plus, 3D Zone etc.), Full Nano LED and 2D-to-3D upconversion. Our sources mention a 55-inch 55LM9600 model - and it looks stunning.
LG LM8600
The step-down model is called LM8600 and features a similar Borderless design, Cinema 3D and Smart TV. We are not sure if also this TV features Nano LED technology. A 55-inch model called 55LM8600 is mentioned by our sources.
LG PM9700
A new high-end plasma-TV has also leaked ahead of time and it is called PM9700. The PM9700 model comes with 3D (presumably active 3D, although not confirmed) and Smart TV functionality. With their new high-end plasma-TV LG has incorporated a slimmer design with slim bezels.
We have received references to the new models from different sources but this press release seems to confirm our findings. In the press release the TVs are awarded the “CES Innovations Awards” in the Video Display category. LG's full 2012 product line-up will be unveiled at CES 2012 in Las Vegas in January.
