Sharp is pushing the limits of consumer TVs. First, they aggressively entered the 60-inch segment with affordable prices, later the 70-inch segment and recently the first affordable 80-inch TVs were introduced in the US. Sharp is now bringing their 80-inch TVs to Europe.
An 80-inch TV has a screen area more than double the size of an 55-inch TV
A 80-inch TV is four times larger than a 40-inch TV, and more than twice the size of a 55-inch TV. Sharp promises an incredible HD experience and is also quietly entering into competition with the projector makers. Despite its size, the TV is still energy efficient and has an A++ energy rating.
