Bang & Olufsen has teamed up with Spotify to transform your TV into a music system. With Bang & Olufsen’s powerful speakers and an intuitive user interface the two companies think that your TV can become the music center of the living room.

The typical TV has weak speakers, but all of Bang & Olufsen’s TVs have powerful speakers with rich sound. That is why, according to the company, the new Spotify integration makes perfect sense. Your TV can become the center of the living room and a potent music system.

- “The way our customers use the TV is changing. It is already possible to integrate Apple TV into our TVs and control the Apple TV directly from the Bang & Olufsen remote control. We have now done the same with Spotify by creating one of the simplest and most user-friendly interfaces in the market,” said Bang & Olufsen CEO, Tue Mantoni.

Combine that with Bang & Olufsen’s new wireless audio platform that lets you wirelessly connect up to 8 even more powerful speakers to the TV, and the Spotify integration starts to makes even more sense. The Spotify integration lets you stream music from the internet, but the TVs can also playback music from your own local archive.

Every new Bang & Olufsen and B&O Play TV will come with integrated Spotify functionality. If you already own BeoPlay V1 (with the Smart TV module), BeoVision 11 or BeoVision 12 NG you can update your TV with a free software upgrade. In addition it requires a Spotify Premium account.
