We already knew that Samsung would bring its affordable HU6900 UHD TV to Europe, but it is also coming to the US as the HU6950, along with a cheaper curved HU7250. Prices for the entry-level UHD TV start at $999.
HU6950 and HU7250 UHD TVs
Samsung has already launched two high-end Ultra HD TVs, but they intend to launch two cheaper series in June, according to HD Guru.
An affordable flat UHD TV is coming to the US and Europe as HU6950 or HU6900, respectively. A cheaper curved UHD TV is also coming as HU7250 in the US and HU8200 in Europe.
Both Ultra HD TVs will offer HDMI 2.0 inputs as well as HEVC decoding for 4K services such as Netflix’s 4K streaming. The HU6 has no 3D capability, but the curved model has. Both TVs also include Samsung’s latest Smart TV features, including a quad core processor.
Europe
HU6900 has already become available in Europe. For prices see here.
HU8200 will be available in June in 55 and 65” sizes.
The US
HU6950 will be available in June in 40, 50, and 55” sizes in the US for $999, $1499, and $1999, respectively.
HU7250 will be available in 55 and 65” sizes for $2199 and $3299.
