LG recently announced that its first 4K OLED TV will start shipping in Europe for Ł5,999 and it appears that it will be even cheaper in the US, where it will ship at the end of September for $6,999 USD, according to HD Guru.
Cheaper than in Europe
LG’s 55-inch OLED TV is already extremely good, but we cannot wait to see LG’s 4K OLED TVs released later this year. LG’s TV will most likely take picture quality to the next level.
LG’s 65-inch 4K OLED TV will carry an official suggested retail price of $8,999, but sell for $6,999, according to leaked information from HDGuru. LG’s current 55-inch Full HD OLED TV carried a $15,000 price tag when it was announced last year.
Besides the OLED display, the TV will offer LG’s new webOS Smart TV platform with TV apps such as Netflix, Hulu and Youtube as well as the motion-controlled Magic Remote. It also utilizes LG’s passive 3D technology, based on cheap polarized 3D glasses without flicker.
The TV will be called 65EC9700 and will ship in the US at the end of September. A 77-inch version will also be available.
