Dell has announced a new monitor as a successor to the U2713HM. The new 27-inch U2715H has a 2560x1440 pixel resolution and a design with ultra-slim bezels.
Dell U2715H announced
Dell’s new 27-inch U2715H looks a lot like the smaller 24-inch U2415 and that is probably no coincidence. The sleek, minimalistic design not only makes a 27-inch look smaller and more elegant, it also makes it easier to place two monitors side-by-side.
U2715H has an IPS panel with 2560x1440 pixels and 60 Hz. It is capable of reproducing the sRGB color gamut and has a semi glossy coating. It is factory-calibrated with errors below DeltaE 3.
U2715H offers a range of adjustment options, including height, tilt, swivel and pivot. When connecting it to your PC, make sure that you have a recent model because U2715H has no DVI or D-SUB (VGA) inputs. Instead, Dell has chosen to implement 2xHDMI, DisplayPort 1.2 and mini-DisplayPort (in and out). In addition, you will find five USB ports and an audio jack.
The Dell U2715H will launch soon in Europe and the US. No price information has been confirmed, but in Hong Kong it is available for around $850. We expect it to be somewhat cheaper when it hits the US and Europe.
