Eizo’s latest addition to its ColorEdge line for professionals in video and graphics editing is the 24-inch CG248-4K. It comes with an IPS panel with 3840x2160 pixels.
Eizo CG248-4K announced
Eizo’s ColorEdge line is aimed for professionals working with video, color or graphics, and the new CG248-4K enables you to edit videos in 4K resolution with its 3840x2160 pixel resolution.
The monitor is using an IPS panel and can be connected to a PC with either DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4 It has two of each connector, but DisplayPort should be preferred for the best 4K picture at 60 Hz. It also has an integrated USB hub and offers extensive ergonomic adjustments options, including height, swivel, tilt and pivot.
Eizo says that CG248-4K is capable of reproducing 99% of AdobeRGB, which is significantly wider than sRGB used in most standard monitors. It can also reproduce 93’% of DCI-P3 used in movie production. It comes pre-calibrated from the factory, but also has a built-in calibration sensor that slides down from the top of the frame. In addition, it supports 10-bit color depth and has close to perfect screen uniformity based on Eizo’s uniformity correction system.
Eizo CG248-4K will be available in April in Japan, but the international launch date has yet to be confirmed.
