Eizo has unveiled its latest monitor, Foris FS2735, and it should excite gamers. It is a 27-inch monitor with an IPS panel, 144 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync, and a 2560x1440 pixel resolution.
With 144 Hz and 2560x1440 pixels
Eizo’s new gaming monitor hits all the right tunes. It does not sacrifice picture quality like most other gaming monitors. Instead of a cheap TN panel, it uses a quality IPS panel. Eizo believes that great gaming performance is not only about speed.
The 27-inch IPS panel has a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, which is not incredibly high but optimal for gaming if you still want a decent frame rate from your graphics card. It supports up to 144Hz and with AMD FreeSync the monitor is always in sync with the frame rate that your graphics card can output (if it supports FreeSync too) to avoid stuttering and tearing. Eizo says that the monitor also has its own motion blur reduction functionality that improves motion by utilizing LED backlight blinking.
Eizo is also introducing a new app for Android and iOS called G-Ignition Mobile that lets you adjust picture settings on the monitor. G-Ignition Mobile can also post a notification in the bottom right corner of the screen whenever you receive a text or call. Another system called G-Ignition Drive is a cloud service that lets owners upload picture settings and share them with other gamers. It also works on the current FS2434 and FG2421 models.
Eizo Foris FS2735 has a matte black design with a slim bezel and a carrying handle on the back. It also features built-in 1 Watt speakers and ergonomic adjustment options, including height, tilt and pivot. It can be connected to a PC via 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI or 1x DVI. It also offers a USB 3.0 hub and a headphone jack.
Eizo Foris FS2735 will begin shipping this winter. The price has not been announced. More information is available here.
