NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock now supports user profiles, including kids profiles. It has also added support for 5.1 surround sound on Android TV devices.
Catching up
Like other popular streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+, Peacock now supporst up to six user profiles, each with its own profile picture. Parents can also create kids profiles.
User profiles are live on Android TV devices and possibly other TV platforms, too – an official list of supported devices was not provided. In addition, it works on Android mobile devices as well as iPhone and iPad.
Peacock users have also started seeing support for 5.1 surround sound appear on Android TV devices such as Nvidia Shield and Sony TVs, although it is apparently a little spotty at the moment.
Peacock does not offer 4K, HDR or Dolby Atmos streaming at this time.
