Sony's 2023 OLED, miniLED LCD & LCD TVs are now available

06 Jun 2023 | Rasmus Larsen |

Sony has released most of its 2023 TV models including the A80L OLED, X95L/X93L miniLED LCD and more affordable LCD TVs including the X90L.

Highlights of the 2023 line-up include the 83-inch A80L that has the potential to make 83-inch OLED from Sony more affordable later this year. There is also zone dimming in X85L, improved zone dimming in X90L, and improved miniLED zone dimming in X95L.

X93L is available in North America as a carry-over from last year's X95K in terms of hardware but with some of the 2023 software features.

There are no new 8K models and the A95L QD-OLED flagship will launch later than the rest of the line-up – A95L is Sony's first with the Pentonic 1000 chipset.

Rolling out now

The TVs are rolling out now in North America, Europe, and other regions, but it will take a few more weeks before the 2023 TV models are readily available in all sizes. Sony's A80L will compete with LG, Panasonic and Philips' affordable OLED models while X90L and X95L can be seen as alternatives to Hisense, Samsung and TCL's advanced LCD TVs. Sony, Philips and TCL now all offer Google TV as their TV platform. We refer to the table for more details, prices, and dealers.
