There have been rumors about an A12X powered Apple TV. I think that's unlikely - it's a SoC from 2018. I think a A14 powered Apple TV i more likely, but let's see what happens.

Next Apple event is believed to be on October 13. Probably to launch the new iPhones.

With one 2020 event down already, A14 for next Apple TV box is more likely than A12, I would say.

Fresh rumor says that there are actually two new Apple TV boxes.

- "Apple Arcade is getting BIG money poured into it. There are currently titles in the works that are aiming to rival the likes of Breath of the Wild, which is why new A12X/Z AppleTV, "A14X-like" AppleTV, and Controller are in the works.

Some games will require A13 and up to run."
