The (excellent) review cites the rearward facing connctors as a minus point.

It seems in fact it's not the connectors per se that are the minus. The rear of the TV has multiple perforations for cooling and the User Manual specifies leaving a 7cm gap between the rear of the set and the wall. As the depth of the set is specified as 8.2cm, the total depth comes to 15.2cm - or 6 inches. A Samsung 40" edge-lit LED TV set is 3cm deep and the manual implies it can go right against the wall.

This would seem to mean that the rear-ward facing plugs on the Panasonic are no problem unless you mount it closer to the wall than you should.

Or is the Panasonic manual overly cautious in asking us top leave 7cm behind the set? Does anyone have good or bad expereinces with close wall mounting?
