Thank you Ramus for your review of Dell U2711.
I have just purchased the monitor and was not happy with out of the box calibration ( exccessive colour saturation)
Your suggestion re manual RGB was of help, although it still seems a bit exccessive (unnatural). None the less acceptable.
As the monitor is multi purpose, the 'video' mode also needs proper calibration as there is more options in the video 'manual' colour setup other than just RGB, eg; cyan, magenta etc.
It would be of great help if this could be also be checked with colour analiyzer as video (from HDMI, component etc) suffers from over saturation to. And I suspect gray scale could be better.
Has the monitor been checked for accurate D65 reproduction?
Your suggestions re 'video' and D65 settings would be appreciated.
