Why 24fps is not enough for HDR movies

Is it possible? Can I connect my Dish Hopper unit to the blue ray then to my TV to get Sound from both units through the home theater system? These are the components I am working with.

Looking at the specs here it looks like you sound system has a optical audio in but no HDMI passthrough: http://www.lg.com/us/home-audio/lg-LHB9 ... ter-system

I don't know the Dish Hopper but is this photo accurate? http://www.laaudiofile.com/images/dish_hopper_back.jpg

In that case you should be able to connect your Dish Hopper via optical audio cable to your audio system. HDMI should still go directly to the TV.
