Sony's new affordable 4K TVs are now available in stores

At IFA in Berlin, Sony unveiled its cheapest 4K TVs to date. The new TVs are now available to buy in Europe and the US. X80/X81C is a flat 4K TV, whereas S80C is a curved version. All of them come equipped with Google’s Android TV.

4K TV prices are falling fast and Full HD TVs are almost gone from the mid-range segment. Sony is now introducing even cheaper 4K TVs.

Sony X80C


The new flat 4K TV goes by the model name X80C in Europe and X81C in the US. The curved S80C will only be available in Europe. All of are powered by Sony’s 4K Processor X1 and Android TV. Google’s new operating system has an App Store from where you can download apps and games. It also offers Google Cast, which is the protocol that powers Chromecast. There are HDMI 2.0 inputs, too.

Sony S80C


X80C is available in 49 and 55 inch sizes and S80C in 55 and 65 inch sizes in Europe. X81C is available in 55 and 65 inch sizes in the US.
