Bang & Olufsen has launched a black version of its Beosound Stage soundbar as part of a new 'Contrast Collection'.

Bang & Olufsen says that its new collection is a "timeless interpretation of current interior trends". It covers eight existing products; Beoplay A1, H9 and A9 as well as Beosound 1, 2, Stage, Shape and Edge.

The products are not only aesthetically aligned – they also deliver amazing Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound," said Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bjerre, Design Director at Bang & Olufsen.



Beosound Stage is Bang & Olufsen's first soundbar. It was launched in November 2019 in aluminium and wood editions. With the new black version, the company aims to give buyers more choice when pairing the Stage soundbar with TVs from other brands.

The black Beosound Stage soundbar costs €1650 / $1900, which is 150 more than the standard aluminum version. This compares to around $1000-1300 for flagship Dolby Atmos soundbars from brands like Samsung and Sony.



B&O said that the Contrast Collection was created in partnership with Norm Architects that also designed the first editions of the Beosound Stage soundbar. The black version is covered in fabric made of wool and viscose.
